Guatemala Mission Trip - October 3-10

Quick Facts
Please be sure to reach out to our office by phone or email if you are interested.

When is the trip?
We will leave on Saturday, October 3, 2026, and return home on Saturday, October 10, 2026. (This coincides with fall break for the local schools.)

What will we be doing?
Evangelism (you WILL share your faith), walking door to door, distributing food bags and water filters.
We will also do a medical or vision clinic at the church, distribute clothing and Bibles, and host an outreach event for children. All of this while we worship and work alongside the people of Eben Ezer Baptist church in Patulul.

What Is The Cost Of The Trip?
We are planning for a cost of $2,000 per person. This includes $970 for on-the-ground expenses (hotel, food, travel, etc), airfare (amount varies), and ministry supplies. This can be offset through fundraising and sponsorships. This does not count tips or spending cash in country or while traveling.

Payment Schedule: April 10, 2026 - $100 deposit
June 26, 2026 - $950 payment
August 21, 2026 - $950 payment

What are the age requirements?
This is a great trip for both students and adults. You must be at least thirteen years old to go. If you are
ages 13-14 then you must be traveling with a parent or guardian. If you are fifteen or above (or have completed 9th grade) then you do not have to travel with a parent or guardian, but they must complete the release forms for you to go.

Does Guatemala require shots?
Guatemala requires no shots. However, it is best to ask your doctor for advice. It is always a good idea
to make sure you have had a recent tetanus booster.

Dengue fever is endemic throughout Guatemala, although less common at higher elevations. There is
no risk of malaria at altitudes above 5,000 feet. Preventative anti-malarial medication can and should
be purchased if you are visiting coastal areas or Peten. (Not applicable for our trip)

Does Guatemala require the COVID vaccine or proof of negative test?
Guatemala does not require that people coming into the country show proof of vaccination or a negative test, nor do you need to have a negative test before returning home.

How long should I have on my passport?
Make sure you have 6 months left on your passport from the end of your trip. For example: Trip is October 3-10, 2026, so your passport needs to be good until April 11, 2027.
